There comes a time when one must acknowledge genius. Genius is often never recognized in its own time and so is the case with Mehul Kumar who gave us the very first certified full length LOTD feature film. TIRANGAA released in 1992 may not have exactly set the box office on fire, but gave us gems like Rajkumar as Brrrrrigadierrrrrrrrr Surrrrrrrrryadev Singh, Nana Patekar as Shivajirao Wagle (of "Maratha maarta hai yaa martaa hai" fame) and of course the matchless peerless Deepak Shirke as ... wait for it ...
